Vashi’s vision towards a BRIGHT sustainable FUTURE!

India has immense solar potential!

Electricity and power are the integral parts of the current age industrial ecosystem. Everything is power driven. Environmental responsiveness and awareness is on the rise and hence, it is imperative that renewable sources of energy are given the top most priority. Solar energy can be established as the most constructive resource by translating India’s geographical location to its advantage.

Undoubtedly, the solar energy sector has witnessed exponential uncertainties last year due to countless reasons inclusive of fluctuating tariffs, fall of the Indian rupee value against the US dollar and obligation of safeguard duty. The country’s solar power generation capacity grew to 26,000 megawatt (MW) by end of September 2018. This comprised of 87 per cent (23 GW) of utility-scale solar and about 13 per cent (3 GW) of rooftop solar projects.

Let us break it down with some hardcore statistics to get a clear picture:

  • As per IBEF, with the growth in Indian economy, the electricity consumption is estimated to cross 15,280 TWh in 2040 due to which solar energy and solar powered products shall hold prime importance.
  • The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has set an ambitious target to set up renewable energy capacities to the tune of 175 GW by 2022 of which 100 GW is planned for solar alone.

Being Nation’s Largest Channel Partner for Electrical Products Trade, Vashi Electricals feels duly responsible towards contributing their bit in sustainable development by showcasing world-class brands of highly efficient solar products.

Nikunj Ghodawat, CFO of CleanMax Solar precisely stated,

“We believe that adoption of solar energy by corporates will continue to grow at a fast pace as they recognize climate change and sustainability as the need of the hour, coupled with the cost advantages of switching to solar.”

Where every industry is observing rise in electrical cost due depletion of resources, the vicious cycle can see its end only with sustainable development. Vashi Electricals envisions being a part of a sustainable future, do you?
